WELLNESS

Trauma can affect anyone at anytime. It cannot be defined by anyone other than the person who has experienced it. Trauma can affect how you feel about yourself and how you relate to others. Women who have gone through abuse or other trauma have a higher risk of developing a mental health condition. ABHM understands that there are various approaches to trauma and mental health problems. With that being said, we have carefully curated an approach that embraces an understanding of trauma at every step of delivery. This knowledge is the foundation of ABHM culture and in all aspects of services delivery.

She Writes Her Trauma

She Writes Her Trauma is a platform where women and girls come together to share truth through their stories of trauma.  Writing about your trauma helps people to organize thoughts and give meaning to a traumatic experience.Without the emotional struggles caused by a traumatic incident, we can recover the energy needed to write our stories and move ahead with our lives in fulfilling and creative ways. Your story is worth telling, so start using words to heal.
