A Beautiful HEART Ministries (ABHM) is a 501 (c)(3) reentry organization founded by Dr. Clover A. Perez during her incarceration at Danbury Prison Camp in Danbury, Connecticut. Moved by the recurrent cycle of incarceration among women and girls, Dr. Perez created an initiative within her incarcerated community to provide resources for women and girls upon their release from prison. Upon her release in 2019, Dr. Perez took her vision further, reorganizing and expanding ABHM to offer a broader range of services. Today, ABHM provides an inclusive suite of programs aimed at empowering justice-impacted women, girls, and gender-fluid individuals, offering them the tools and support needed to navigate their reintegration with dignity and hope.  ABHM mission embodies a transformative blueprint aimed at enhancing the lives of justice-impacted individuals. By adopting a comprehensive five-pronged approach, ABHM is dedicated to facilitating meaningful change, fostering healing, and reducing recidivism. To do so, we fist, explore alternatives to incarceration, recognizing that systemic change is necessary to address the root causes of justice involvement. Our advocacy efforts strive to reform policies and perceptions at all levels ensuring a more equitable and just system. Our education pillar serves as our third pillar, providing the tools and knowledge essential for personal and professional growth.  Empowerment is at the heart of our mission, enabling those we serve to reclaim their voices and agency. Lastly, we focus on wellness, understanding that holistic health is foundational to lasting change. Together, these interconnected strategies form the core of our commitment to not only improve the quality of lives for those impacted by the justice system but also to create a more inclusive, compassionate, and fair society for all. In our unwavering commitment to our mission, we recognize the importance of collaboration and partnership.
